The Story behind Ace The Interviews
Ashton Chanana is a seasoned professional with over 14 years of experience in sales, account management, and strategic partnerships. He holds a Master's degree in Business (Entrepreneurship) from Hult International Business School in London, UK, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Miami. Additionally, Ashton earned a Master's in Communications from the University of Southern California (USC).
Ashton has extensive experience on both sides of the hiring process. For the past four years, he has been actively involved in interviewing candidates, bringing valuable insights into identifying top talent and understanding the nuances of the hiring process. This experience complements his robust professional background, where he currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at a dynamic start-up tax firm, driving substantial company growth and operational efficiency over the past 6 years.
His prior roles include being a Business Relationship Manager at a large international software company, a Strategic Alliances Manager at an 18 billion dollar telecommunications company, and Account Executive at a fast paced MarTech start-up, showcasing his versatility across companies of various sizes and industries.
In addition to his professional achievements, Ashton is an entrepreneur at heart. In 2019, he founded a real estate investing company focusing on Baja California. His international experience is further highlighted by his role as the founder of a social start-up in Peru and a three-month volunteer project in Ecuador.
Ashton has traveled to over 60 countries and lived in diverse cities including London, Shanghai, Los Angeles, Miami, Lake Tahoe, and San Francisco. Through these experiences, he has established lifelong connections and cultivated an open mindset enriched by the cultures and regions he has explored.
During his time at the University of Miami, Ashton made the Dean's List six times and was a founding father of a fraternity. He served as an officer for both the wakeboarding club and the scuba diving club, worked part-time for the Office of Disabilities, and achieved third place in a business plan competition. At Hult International Business School, his team was runner-up in the Hult Impact Challenge, a prestigious worldwide business competition.
Ashton is passionate about outdoor adventures and is an advanced open water certified scuba diver and a PSIA-AASI certified snowboard instructor. His adventurous pursuits include scuba diving with bull sharks and whale sharks without a cage, cage diving with great whites in Africa, skydiving, learning to scuba dive at 12, and bungee jumping.
